問：在The Great Gatsby裡有一段話
"Gatsby believed in the green light, the orgastic future that year by year recedes before us. It eluded us then, but that's no matter－to-morrow we will run faster strtch out our arms farther.... And one fine morning－
So we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past."
這句話到底是什麼意思? 有什麼涵意呢?
這又跟小說的內容有什麼關係?

答：在對面嗎頭的Green light綠色電燈是Gatsby舊情人的房子.他不可以直接去找她.他只能每晚party,請不同的人來.希望有一天他的舊情人會出現在他的party里.所以每晚有不同的船只逞水而來參加他的party.每一只船拍打水流的聲言就是延抻他的過去-他渴望重新擁有舊情人的吶喊.

坎城影展登場 大亨小傳華麗揭序幕
（法新社法國坎城15日電） 2013年坎城影展今天絢麗登場，由澳洲導演巴茲魯曼（Baz Luhrmann）執導的華麗時代片「大亨小傳」（The Great Gatsby）揭開序幕。
12天的影展在蔚藍海岸的坎城舉行。今年紅毯上明星料將包括李奧納多狄卡皮歐（Leonardo DiCaprio）、雷恩葛斯林（Ryan Gosling）、麥可道格拉斯（Michael Douglas）、凱莉墨里根（Carey Mulligan）與麥特戴蒙（Matt Damon）等人。
評審團今年也是重量級人士雲集，由史蒂芬史匹柏（Steven Spielberg）領軍，評審包括台灣導演李安以及女星妮可基嫚（Nicole Kidman）。（譯者：中央社蕭倩芸）
